Opening Ceremonies set for July 16
Maverik Lacrosse presents the 2018 National Lacrosse Classic OPENING CEREMONIES
Opening ceremonies for the 2018 National Lacrosse Classic will begin at 6:15 PM on Monday, July 16 at DE Turf Sports Complex in Frederica, Delaware. A variety of activities and contests will be available throughout the day leading up to the opening ceremonies.
The opening ceremonies will be festive and offer a terrific photo opportunity as athletes and regional teams are introduced entering the stadium. Food concessions will be open all day including dinner. Plan to stay after opening ceremonies for some fun!
Delaware Governor John Carney will be in attendance to welcome over 1,800 athletes from 32 different states and Canada that have qualified to represent their state during the National Lacrosse Classic.
Troy Kemp will deliver the keynote message titled "Game Plan - Setting Yourself Up for Success On and Off the Field"
The National Lacrosse Classic, now in its eleventh year is host to the top youth and high school lacrosse players in North America. Thousands have gone on to play in the NCAA. In 2018 alone, 1,948 NLC alumni have not only played in the NCAA but have played at the highest level garnering Tewaaraton, All-America, All-Conference, All-Rookie Team, Player of the Year awards.
